Pebble Beach Pro-Am Betting: 125/1 shot chanced for victory at historic venue

Image
Golf fans and players will never get tired of returning to Pebble Beach. The Pro-Am is one of the most popular events for fans as they can see not only their favourite players, but favourite celebrities playing golf. I’m tackling the second Signature Event of the 2025 PGA Tour season with four selections, as I did with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, which went well but also failed to find the winner. Typically, Rory McIlroy was my banker but he came tied for fourth. There is a top-class field heading to Monterrey Peninsula which includes Scottie Scheffler making his seasonal reappearance and first since suffering a puncture wound at home on Christmas day. He is at the top of the market with McIlroy, which is no surprise. They are both serial winners, Scheffler more so, having won nine times in 2024, in...

Example: If a hole is a par 3 , a good golfer should be able to reach the green and hole the ball in 3 strokes. A par 4 means the hole should be completed in 4 strokes, and so on. Why it matters: Par serves as a benchmark to measure your performance on each hole. 2. Birdie Definition: A birdie is when you complete a hole one stroke under par . Example: On a par 4 hole, if you finish the hole in 3 strokes, you’ve made a birdie. For a par 5 , completing the hole in 4 strokes would be a birdie.
